Ukrainian Valkyrie is a public organization that has been helping Ukrainian women affected by the war since 2022.
“Ukrainian Valkyries” appeared after the de-occupation of the Kyiv region in the spring of 2022. The organization was founded by volunteers from Kyiv to support women who suffered the consequences of the war. The first steps in supporting women were carried out through crisis psychological consultations, security trainings, legal advice and basic assistance.
Over time, a request arose to return women’s agency — the ability to manage their own lives. The answer was the deployment of educational initiatives, digital and civic literacy projects, career workshops and grants.
Today, “Ukrainian Valkyries” is a network in 15 regions of Ukraine and over 50 partners. We work with all affected women: IDPs, wives and relatives of military personnel and veterans, providing comprehensive support from recovery to economic independence and leadership.
Comprehensive support and recovery for women affected by the war through psychosocial assistance, the development of economic independence, legal protection, humanitarian aid, and the amplification of women's voices via media and cultural storytelling.
An Ukraine where every woman, regardless of the circumstances of the war, has access to tools for recovery—psychological, legal, and financial—and to a space where her story is part of the shared story of victory.
In the center - a woman, her needs and choices.
Confidentiality and physical security - non-nnerot.
Without regret - only support on equal terms.
Certified professionals and proven techniques.
Public reports on each hryvnia of donors.
Without discrimination by age, status, region.
